The Capitol City Christian Church Foundation was established to accept, manage, and distribute financial gifts for the glory of God and the advancement of His Kingdom. Through the foundation, you have an opportunity to make a lasting impact on many lives through the outreach of our church.  We have a brochure available at the bottom of this page as well as a list of our foundation board members that will be able to help you with any questions you may have.

1. What is the purpose of the Capitol City Christian Church Foundation?

The Foundation was established to provide future financial stability for carrying out God's work at the church. It provides a way for church members and others to give large and small gifts that will have a long-lasting impact in our community.

2. What type of organization is the Capitol City Christian Church Foundation?

The Foundation is a charitable, religious, non-profit, tax exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible.

3. Who is on the Foundation Board?

The Foundation's Board of Directors is made up of church members. All Board members have been approved by the church eldership.

4. What does the Foundation do with donations?

Typically, a portion of donations given to the Foundation will be invested for growth opportunities and then a portion of holdings will be distributed annually. Distributions could fund a variety of church projects, start new visionary programs, or assist with various ministry needs that are outside the operating budget.

5. Is a gift to the Foundation part of my normal tithes and offerings?

No. Any gift to the Foundation should be above and beyond normal giving. Foundation funds will be used to protect the long-term financial viability of the church. Foundation funds will not replace tithes that cover regular operating expenses.

6. Can the Foundation be named as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy?

Yes. Naming the Foundation as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy could produce desirable estate and income tax advantages for some people.

7. Is there a minimum amount required for a cash donation?

No. Gifts of any size are welcome.

8. What type of non-cash donations are accepted by the Foundation?

The Foundation will consider any type of asset donation including, but not limited to: stocks, bonds, real estate, vehicles, and homes.

9. Can I direct my gift to be used for a specific purpose?

The Foundation Board will gladly consider any requests or directions from the donor consistent with the Foundation's Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws and IRS rules and regulations.

10. Why should I make a donation to the Foundation?

Donations to the Foundation can provide additional support for church programs outside your regular tithe and gifts. Donations are tax deductible. The Foundation also can provide an avenue for estate planning (to provide for ongoing support to the church after your death).

11. Who can I talk to about financial or estate planning, tax advantages, life insurance policy options and other issues related to charitable giving?

If you already work with a personal financial planner, tax advisor or attorney, you should consult with them. If you do not currently work with such an individual, the Foundation has a list of names of CCCC members who have a professional expertise, work in those areas and would be willing to answer your questions.

12. Will my gift be made public?

Donors have the option to remain anonymous. However, unless a donor asks to remain anonymous, the names of generous contributors may be shared as a way of encouraging others to consider supporting the church in a similar way.

13. Can the Foundation accept memorial gifts?

Yes. The Foundation can accept memorial gifts. It is also possible to make gifts in honor of a living person.
